How we will do it?
By:
- Having a solution focused response to improve our environment by building on the Community Council's initiative on highlighting the dog fouling issue and assisting with activities such as the regular beach clean up.
- Education and ongoing learning and development through talks and information nights on a range of subjects e.g. zoonoses and panel nights with a range of professionals – vets, breeders etc.
- Promoting Keep Britain tidy message and adhering to the Scottish Wider Access Code.
- Sharing information, knowledge via information sheets/flyers: the "Woofwoofcarnoustie" Forum, This web page, Facebook and newspaper/newsletter articles.
- Maintaining a common sense approach to Health, Safety, Security and Risk Assessments of our activities.
How will we do it?
By:
- Encouraging people development and capacity building by facilitating people to start up, establish and develop the organisation “Carnoustie Canine Capers”.
- Motivating individuals in to taking a share of the usual committee roles to develop the organisation to meet the expectations of the membership and achieve our aims.
- Linking and networking with other community and voluntary organisations, businesses and individuals.
- Bringing together members of our community to respect and enjoy our community its coast and surrounding countryside.
3. THE ACTIVE NATION MESSAGE OF “Get Active, Have Fun, Feel Good”
How will be do it?
By:
- Planning, checking out and leading “Social Walks” with access to all.
- Organising a Companion Dog Show.
- Use our local network of "Paths for All."
- To make people aware of the range of canine activities e.g. agility, flyball, rally-0, canix etc by organising demonstrations of these.
- Promoting the Health and Social benefits of 30 + minutes walks with our dogs with a similar ethos to "Steps Tay Health".
- We will work to the Ramblers Associate Code of Ethics for our walks and activities (http://www.ramblers.org.uk/Volunteer/AreaGroup/Basics/code.htm).
4. COMMUNICATION WITH ALL USING MULTI-FACETED METHODS
How will we do it?
By:
- Face to face, telephone, text, social networking sites, suggestion boxes, forum, website, newsletter, flyers/leaflets/postcards, regular input to the local press, displays in key focal points and as appropriate reporting to other community organisations.
